Tripswitch was created within the context of Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Arnhem, ArteZ
Tripswitch is mainly about limitations, extremes and boundaries.
What are the human reactions when bodies meet in small and closed spaces; when someone is constantly observing us from the outside and we feel pressured?
The piece revolves around barriers – physical and mental ones.
It is about the extremes one can achieve and how we get to a certain point of mental exhaustion when the conscious merges with the unconscious. It is about the fluid that runs in our veins changing its density until it achieves the explosion; it is the vision of the body as a container parallel to the circumstances that withhold us from outside.
In part it also deals with aggression and confrontation, sharing a small space with our own private fears, which become real when others surround us.
